Sitting around the square table, we were merrily playing mahjong. Well, to be exact, I was kind of frustrated with my miserable mahjong skills. Playing wrong tiles, not knowing what tiles opponents were waiting for and many many more reasons made me sink into depression when the game went on. Soon, I started losing interest in that game until she came to my rescue.
I remember her dragging a chair and sat right beside me. Without saying a word, she was meticulously analyzing my playing skills. A few games later, she gave me many many advices. I was really amazed at how patient she was towards me even though I clearly had no idea what I was doing. The warmth that she imparted to me made me determined to not give up so easily. Finally with her help, I won my first game. Every cloud has a silver lining no?
There’s no use in weeping,
Though we are condemned to part:
There's such a thing as keeping
A remembrance in one's heart
Anything that is related to mahjong never fails to remind me of you. You would definitely be greatly missed, especially by your dearest granddaughter. Please grant her the strength to triumph over this ordeal. Rest in peace… and thanks for the memories.
